Antique Victorian Parlor Hanging Lamp, Electrified — Painted Shade & Rayo Chimney

$245.00

An attractive antique hanging parlor oil lamp, later electrified, with a frosted white and pale-green glass shade and matching font hand-painted with pink floral decoration. The lamp retains its clear glass chimney marked "Rayo," associated with the well-known Rayo lamp line produced by the Standard Oil Company in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The fixture hangs from an ornate brass-tone frame with decorative scrollwork and pierced gallery elements, accented with faceted crystal prism drops around the shade ring and upper suspension crown. With its classic Victorian and early Art Nouveau influences, it makes an appealing decorative lighting piece for a period interior.

  • Glass: Hand-painted frosted shade & font; clear "Rayo"-marked chimney
  • Dimensions: approx. 36"H × 17"W × 15"D

Consistent with age and use: oxidation and tarnish to the metal components, general wear, and several missing crystal prisms.
